Discussion of "Impact of CIHR Reforms on the Funding of Nutritional Sciences in Canada"

This letter to the editor summarizes efforts of the Canadian Nutrition Society to assess the impact of CIHR Project and Foundation Scheme competitions on the funding of nutrition research in Canada. The surveys conducted by the Canadian Nutrition Society to its members reveal a marked reduction in funding success in these new schemes. Key recommendations are made and also an appeal to the nutrition community to lend their expertise should they be called upon to review nutrition grants in the future.The accepted manuscript in pdf format is listed with the files at the bottom of this page.
